Error code E-3001
Power supply / voltage fault
Error code E-3001 is a power supply or voltage fault. One or more supply voltages are outside their target range. The system won't start, shuts down sporadically or drops out during operation. The cause is almost always the power supply or the power distribution board, and we repair both at component level.
What the message means
One or more supply voltages are outside their target range. The system fails to start or drops out intermittently.
Typical symptoms
This is how you recognise the fault in operation.
- System won't power on or shuts down again immediately
- Sporadic drop-outs or restarts during operation
- Voltage warnings or power error messages at start-up
- Audible clicking or buzzing from the power supply area
Possible causes
This is what experience shows is behind it.
- Faulty power supply with voltage outside tolerance
- Electronic fault on the power distribution board
- Aged electrolytic capacitors with loss of capacitance
- Overload protection triggered by a downstream fault
Before / after
The fault on the left, the same system after our repair on the right.
On the left the thermally damaged power board with a burnt capacitor, on the right the same assembly after component-level repair.
How we proceed
Diagnosis
We measure all supply voltages under load and compare them against the target values. This reveals whether the power supply itself, the power distribution board or a downstream consumer is triggering the fault, before any component is replaced.
Repair
We restore faulty power supplies and power distribution boards at component level. Aged capacitors, voltage regulators and protection circuitry are replaced. Instead of a costly module swap you get a tested, voltage-stable power supply with a test report and warranty, usually within 1 to 2 working days.

Usually yes. Original power supplies for older ultrasound systems are expensive or no longer available. Component-level restoration in an electrostatically protected environment is considerably cheaper and is often the only option for discontinued devices.
Yes, which is why we always check the downstream voltages after a power supply repair. This ensures no consequential damage remains on the beamformer or mainboard.
